I'm not a big sword and sorcery reader so I've skipped a lot of the Frazetta line. I'm a huge fan of westerns so when I say this books cover I jumped in boots first.

The Frank Frazetta cover is worthy of framing as to be expected in this line. The interior art is done in a nice sepia tone as fitting the time period and dose what any comic book should be able to do tell the story without having to read the text.

The story is excellent more in line with DC Comics Jonah Hex than say Dynamite Entertainment's Lone Ranger. The title of the book would lead you to believe the book is about the Freedom Kid a fast shooting, hard drinking, women pleasing gunslinger from the old west in which you would only be half right. The true star of this book is a faster shooting, harder drinking, multi-women pleasing dentist with a girls name. If your looking for something a little gritty and a whole lot grungy I highly recommend Freedom.

Derrick

My First Blog

Each day I push myself harder .
